Xaric is an open source Internet Relay Chat client for Unix-like systems. It is a fork of BitchX that removed most of the BitchX specific features while maintaining the color interface and some default key bindings. The source code was dramatically decreased in size but some common features remain unimplemented. While Xaric has not seen wide spread use it has proven popular enough to be included in the FreeBSD ports tree.
