Teispes

Teispes ( Cišpiš; Greek ; died 640 BC) was the son of Achaemenes and an ancestor of the Kings of Persia. He captured the Elamite city of Anshan and called himself "King of the City of Anshan", a first step that would lead to the rise of the Persian Empire. He was succeeded by his second son, Cyrus I.
