Ocean One

Ocean One is a supertall skyscraper 367 metres (1,204 feet) tall with 91 floors and 587 rooms proposed for construction at Jomtien Beach in Pattaya, Thailand.

The 12 Rai site is located in a prime position at Jomtien Beach close to Pattaya and just 250 metres from one of Asia's most popular beaches. Construction will take four years and is expected to be complete in late 2012.

Ocean One will be, when completed, the tallest building in Thailand. It is planned to be used as residential with a conference centre. The architects are Woods Bagot who designed Q1 on Australia's Gold Coast which was previously the tallest residential building in the world. The structural engineers are world renowned Connell Wagner. Otherwise, there are wind engineering and earthquake engineering that are important to the structure of high-rise building. The construction of Ocean One is done being undertaken by K-TECH.

It is planned to include the latest in luxury and technology with special focus on environmental aspects (Green Building). Other features are the high security, a 24-hour medical clinic and 13 high speed lifts with a maximum waiting time of just 18 seconds. The entire 9th floor is devoted to recreation with swimming pools, saunas, spas, gymnasiums and a running track. The building will have a two-level shopping plaza at the rear.
