Journal of Postgraduate Medicine (
JPGM), a multidisciplinary quarterly biomedical
journal, is one of the oldest
medical journals from
India. The journal is official publication of the Staff Society of
Seth Gordhandas Sunderdas Medical College and King Edward Memorial Hospital,
Mumbai, India. The journal is listed with all major bibliographic databases including
Index Medicus, Current Contents, Science Citation Index,
EMBASE, CAB Abstracts, Index Copernicus and AMED.
The journal was established in 1955 and Dr NM Purandare was its first
editor. The journal has always striven to maintain its independence, its quest for publishing quality medical literature and is committed to the idea of sharing its treasures with everyone despite the constraint of resources it faces. The journal is the first journal published from any
medical college in India to be indexed by Index Medicus of the
United States National Library of Medicine.
