Grammy Award for Best Alternative Music Album

Sponsored Links
The Grammy Award for Best Alternative Music Album has been awarded since 1991. From 2001 to 2003, the award recipients included the producers and engineers as well as the artists. In 1990, and from 1994 to 1999, the award was known as Best Alternative Music Performance.
The White Stripes and Radiohead share the record for wins in the Best Alternative Music Album category, having won this Grammy three times each. Beck has two wins, and 4 other nominations. Radiohead's front man, Thom Yorke was also nominated for his solo album. Coldplay is the only act to win two consecutive years. Björk and Tori Amos hold the record for most nominations without a win, totaling five.

Years reflect the year in which the Grammy Awards were handed out, for music released in the previous year. This is the only category in the Grammy alternative music field.
